What Flies to Buy???

I sell many fly patterns in a wide variety of sizes and colors, so in this blog post I thought I would take the time to talk about my top 10 fly recommendations.

Light Yellow Eggstasy Egg #12

If I had to pick one junk fly and one only, this would be my choice. When the water is murky this fly catches me a solid 90% of my fish. It sinks quickly and the eggstasy fibers look great under the water. it's safe to say your fly box would not be complete without a few of these!

Black Crystal Bugger #12

The wooly bugger is a staple in the fly fishing community and for good reason. It catches fish! It imitates a variety of different baitfish and this euro nymph variant both sinks quickly and has a ton of action under the water. It can be stripped, jigged, or dead drifted.

 Sexy Walt's Worm #14

This fly is hands down my favorite nymph pattern to throw when euro nymphing. It looks extremely buggy under the water and is a top producer for many fly fisherman including myself. This is a must have pattern!

Metallic Pink Pheasant Tail #14

This fly is one of the best attractor pheasant tail patterns out there. It has a metallic pink head which gives the fly was originally tied by the world famous fly angler Lubos Roza. It has since become an extremely popular fly pattern among the fly fishing community

Olive UV Caddis #14

I first discovered this fly on my annual wild trout trip to Spring Creek, and it has since become my favorite caddis patterns. It's brushed out dubbing along with the flashy UV Dubbing makes this fly look absolutely amazing under the water.

Buggy Hare's Ear #14

The hare's ear is a classic trout nymph, and this euro nymphing variant is the only hare's ear you'll ever need. It's buggy, flashy, and straight up effective.

Pheasant Tail #16

This fly needs no introduction. Just about every fly fisherman has used the classic pheasant tail at one point or another. This fly is subtle yet effective.

Rainbow Warrior #16

Despite this fly's flashy appearance it will fool even the most finicky of trout. It is a quick sinking and fish catching fly. It is a top producer and must have pattern!

Rusty Brown Mottled Midge #18

This is a fly pattern I came up with in the Spring of 2023 during a 2 week drought. The fish were so finicky that even the flash of a silver bead or wire would deter the fish from biting. To combat this finicky behavior I tied this fly up using rusty brown thread, UV Resin, and rabbit dubbing. I caught my personal best rainbow trout on this fly and have since had a ton of success on this fly during low and clear conditions.

Black Zebra Midge #18

This fly can be fished on a double nymph rig, a dry dropper, or under an indicator. Midge flies are a staple in the diet of a trout and this pattern is definitely one of the best midge patterns out there.
